Magnetic Alignment Paper

We have a new paper out in Chem Comm all about aligning perylene bisimides in a magnetic field to make them more conductive. The work is collaborative between the Adams group (UoG), Wallace group (UEA) and the ILL, Grenoble. We show some beautiful NMR and SANS data that illustrate the alignment of the perylene worm-like micelles, and some pretty unconventional ways of maintaining this alignment. Check out the paper to find out more, and it’s open access!

P. S. no mice or any other animals were hurt collecting data for this paper…
